Abstract
The covid-19 pandemic caused by the SARS-COV-2 virus presented an unprecedented challenge to the health care professionals and mankind. One of the major disciplines of medicine strongly impacted by this menace is the branch of dentistry considering the extremely contagious mode of infectivity of the virus. Inspite of the hurdles, specialities including oral medicine and radiologist have risen up to the challenge through various modifications in practice to continue with their diagnostic and research activities. The emergence of teledentistry and telemedicine services, extra oral periapical radiography, 3D printing etc. are some of the novel adaptations in practice.
