Abstract
Aim: Using a scanning electron microscope, the current investigation's goal is to assess the frequency of
dentinal fracture formation during root canal preparation.
Material and Method: 45 extracted mandibular premolars were allocated into three groups at random.
Group I, for example, is a control group without instruments. Group II: Waldent walflex file; Group III:
Protaper Next file. After sectioning the roots at 3, 6, and 9 mm from the apex, the surfaces of the roots were
evaluated for dentinal defects under SEM.
Result: Protaper Next produce significantly less dentinal defect.
Conclusion: We can draw the conclusion that the protaper next file produces much fewer dentinal defects
within the constraints of our investigation.
Key words : Dentinal Defect, Root canal Preparation, Protaper Next
