Abstract
One of the most prevalent periodontal cosmetic issues today is gingival recession. The root surface is
exposed as a result of gingival recession, which is defined as "The displacement of the gingival margin
apical to cemento-enamel junction." In addition to causing aesthetic issues, gingival recession makes
people more vulnerable to dentinal hypersensitivity and root cavities. With varied degrees of effectiveness,
numerous treatment modalities have been suggested in the past for the treatment of gingival recession.
Prior to beginning the treatment for gingival recession defects, it is crucial to properly assess anatomical
aspects, such as increased defect width and shallow residual vestibular depth. Therefore, the management
of gingival recession defects requires careful consideration and evaluation of a number of anatomical
parameters. The article highlights a case report of a case of Miller's class II Gingival recession, which was
treated using the sub-epithelial connective tissue graft with coronally advanced flap in the mandibular
anterior region.
