Photobiomodulation In Oral Medicine - A Review
This review article provides a comprehensive overview of the applications of photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) in the field of oral medicine. PBMT, utilizing nonionizing light sources, has demonstrated efficacy in wound healing, inflammation reduction, and pain relief. The review discusses the therapeutic applications, technical parameters, and efficiency of PBMT in managing various orofacial disorders, including oral mucosal lesions, orofacial pain, and other ailments. Additionally, it emphasizes the need for further research to explore newer applications of PBMT in dentistry and standardize treatment protocols for different disorders.
